ELMFEST TO OFFER FREE RIDES FOR CHILDREN & ADULTS
WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

900am-1100am on Saturday, June 14th to be set aside only for children and adults with
special needs and their families free of charge.

     ELMHURST, Ill., April 21, 2008   Special needs children and adults, along
with their families, are invited to attend the inaugural Special Kids Carnival Day at
Elmfest on Saturday, June 14th from 900am-1100am.  This event is
presented by Special Kids Day, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization
dedicated to providing entertaining events to children with physical and
developmental disabilities.  Special Kids Carnival Day is made possible by
the support of the Elmhurst Jaycees, Spectacular Midways, the
City of Elmhurst and the Elmhurst Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

     A selection of appropriate rides will be open, free of charge, exclusively
to special needs children and adults and their families.  Refreshments will be provided
and dedicated volunteers will be assigned to assist our visitors.  All
participants must register at the Special Kids table located at the corner
of Addison Avenue and First Street in downtown Elmhurst.  Registration
opens at 830am.

     Founded in 1990, Special Kids Day has touched the lives of hundreds
of kids who have physical and developmental disabilities.  Special Kids Day
started by offering a Christmas event in an obstacle-free environment
prepared for special needs children, held annually in the first week of
December.  In addition to continuing this holiday tradition, Special Kids Day
is now expanding to provide a similar experience during the summer
through the Special Kids Carnival Day.  For more information on
