Thank you for your interest in hosting a Special Kids Day event in your community. Special Kids Day
was established in 1990 to honor children who are developmentally delayed or physically challenged.
This all-family celebration has at its center a community wide holiday party with family photos, food
and gifts distributed to all special need children and their siblings.

This all-volunteer, free event is designed to be an outreach to persons of all faiths and to provide a loving
caring environment that nurtures awareness of a community's diversity. We would welcome the
opportunity to assist your community in getting started with planning your own local, holiday event.

We recommend you plan your Special Kids Day during the first week of December as Special Kids Day
builds on the United Nations resolution #47/3, which also sets aside the first week of December to
promote integrating the disabled into society.

Additionally, Special Kids Day will be listed in Chase's 2006 Calendar of Events, a resource used by
event planners, media professionals, librarians, teachers and many others.

To order a free Special Kids Day brochure and/or a copy of the Special Kids Day video on DVD,
please email us with your name, address and phone and your preference for a brochure or DVD.
